I have been using this product for about three years now after trying out many many cheaper products, I apply it in the morning and have no need for a touch up all day. This was more expensive than any other foundation I used before but with the cheaper foundations I had to aply again after a couple of hours so in the long run it was less expensive.I am 58 years old and have quite a red complection now, I am constantly told how good my skin in especially for my age, this is due entirely to Estee Lauder double wear

I have used this is product on and off as some days it looks great on my skin and stays on like a dream, but if i am having a dry skin day i can't wear this foundation as it makes my skin look terrible and shows up all the imperfections more. If you have perfect skin this is a great foundation but would suggest a different one if you have any dry skin.

This is the most fantastic foundation i have ever used. It glides on very easily, doesn't pull the skin and the finished effect takes years off of you.. I have been told my skin looks flawless with it on and i wear it at every opportunity, both day and night for that polished look. Try it, you will never look back. Well worth the money. A bigger bottle would be a total luxury.

I use Double Wear as it's the best foundation i have ever come across.In the past i have used allsorts of brands that never done what it says on the bottle, well now i have found the best ! and it does more for me than any other. Nice texture and glides on easily, looks very natural on my skin tone , lasts all day, perfect for wearing at the gym as perspiring doenst mean it running off also doesn't rub off on my clothes. i would highly reccomend this foundation to any women, it makes me feel so confident and complexion perfect .. so go on ladies give it a go!... i did .

I suffer from oily skin prone to blemishes and found this foundation to be excellent. It stayed in place all day and gave great coverage lightly concealing the blemishes on my chin perfectly. I applied it with estee lauder foundation brush and it spread on my skin so well I won't be using anything else from now on! I also purchased and used the EL concealer under my eyes which worked great as I didn't get that dry look that foundation tends to cause under the eye area.Overall it's an excellent foundation if you like your makeup to stay in place all day without the need for touchups. I love it!!

When I first tried double wear I thought it was a miracle foundation! It has sooo much staying power, you won't find a foundation with longer wear anywhere else and it is definitely worth paying a little more for. I love everything about it, the smell, the bottle and the airbrushed look it leaves you with, no need for concealer ever again either as this covers everything!My only slight complaints are that it tends to sit ontop of the skin all day making it feel quite heavy, it also rubs off quite easily later on in the day when your skin has become greasier, I find that adding a matte loose powder to set this foundation helps a lot to extend it's staying power even further. I have already recommended double wear to many girls and they too have all loved it!

This really does what it says on the tin! this gives such good cover on my skin. I am in my fifties with good skin but need something which doesn't slide off after a few hours. This gives good reliable cover without looking as if you have foundation on and stays until you are ready to remove it. There are so many choices of shade so that when the sunshine comes you can go for a slightly darker or warmer shade. I have also used the slightly more sheer version which is great too.This foundation doesn't sit in lines and wrinkles.Used with the foundation brush, this goes on like a dream and you use so much less, making it very cost-effective.Try it you won't be disappointed.

I have been wearing this foundation for years and it has never let me down. The shades are wearable (Fresco for winter and Ivory Beige for summer) and enhance skin tone rather than mask it. It stays in place all day without any need for touching up and doesn't break up or slide if you suffer from a shiny nose or wear it during exercise. Being able to wear a thin natural layer for just popping down the shops, but also being able to build for those days or nights when maybe better coverage is required is really a major plus.

I have blotchy skin with old acne scars and uneven texture. I found this foundation a few years ago and now wouldn't use anything else. It covers amaisingly and lasts for ages...I never feel the need to go and check up on my makeup half way though a night out, it makes me feel confident that I look my best all the time. It looks really natural and none of my friends would believe what my skin looks like underneath...it is a miracle for me to have such a great foundation. Everything this foundation claims to do is true: it's really long-wearing, excellent coverage. It prevents my skin from getting oily for several hours. You only need a little bit and it's not that difficult to get a natural result: I find it easier to blend a tiny amount of full-coverage foundation into my skin for a no-makeup-effect than to slather on a thick layer of sheer-coverage foundation. The colour selection is really good as well.

I have thread vein damage to my cheeks and every day I cover them with double wear stay in-place make-up. You would not be able to tell that my cheeks were not perfect. I know that if I apply Double Wear first thing in the morning it will still be there when I cleanse at night. I never need to check. Even after playing 18 holes of golf in the wind and rain I know my double wear face make-up will still be there. I have also started wearing Double Wear eye liner and the same thing applies.

After trying a small sample it wasn't long before I was back in store purchasing my first bottle of Double Wear. It's one of those rare finds where a product just 'does what it says on the tin' and really does live up to the promises. I have particularly dry skin and after a few hours of wearing any foundation my skin normally looks very dehydrated and patchy. Although I do still suffer from dry skin I feel double wear stays as I left it all day, when you work as a waitress going in and out of hot kitchens all day that is a next to impossible order. On top of this it seems to last forever, I have had the same bottle for a few months now and its still half full! All in all I'm really impressed and I doubt any other foundation will even compare.

I would actually rate this with 10 stars. I've been using Double Wear Foundation for 11 years - tried other premium brands but nothing can touch this for staying power and natural appearance. Once applied I am confident that I'm good all day without having to touch up my skin.Prior to my step-daughter's wedding I had a "makeover" by an Estée Lauder makeup artist in Bluewater. He showed me how to mix it first with a primer and apply it using a foundation brush. The photographs convinced me that I looked as good as I felt.

This foundation is a must have for people with Normal to Oily skin! I have tried just about every foundation on the market. My friend recommeneded this foundation to me 8 years ago when I was just 21...however everytime I went to the Estee Lauder counter the SA gave me another version. Recently, I bought it and its perfect. It covered some cystic spots I have, stays all day and doesnt break me out. It has fantastic coverage without feeling cakey or overdone.The only downside to this foundation is the SPF. I normally just wear foundation at nighttime, in which case I dont even need SPF. Its a downside because it doesnt photograph well. I just wish Estee Lauder would come out with a nighttime photogenic Double Wear foundation...then it would be perfect

(Please don't stop making it EL!)Upon applying in the mornings after moisturiser, this product goes on easily and needs to be blended quickly because once it's dry, it stays! I went searching for an Estee Lauder foundation for my wedding dayI originally wanted the Double Wear Light, but unfortunately there is not a shade light enough for me :( I use Shell in this; it goes on like a dream over Idealist, moisturiser & applied with a foundation brush. I put it through its paces in the rare hot weather we had in the summer. My only complaint is it gathers a little around the sides of my nose (my nose is really oily whilst the rest is quite dry) but apart from that I LOVE it & will continue using it. I don't wear heavy make up for work, so I only tend to use this at weekends. A little goes a long way.

If i had to go to a desert island the estee lauder double wear foundation would be the first thing on my list. The first time i used this product i couldn't believe it. It stayed on all day and got lots of compliments. My skin never looked so good. It can be a light day foundation and you can add a bit more for the night if you want it a bit heavier. It has brilliant coverage with a healthy look. I have recommended this product to every one i know and they have bourght it and never used another foundation. Some people say it is expensive but it lasts me about three months and i use it everyday so if you think how long it will last its not bad at all. You get you moneys worth and more. Even if this foundation was £100 i would still buy it cause it is that good.

It Really Does Last...

This foundation is the best i have ever found!Im a 19 year old full time student training in professional musical theatre, and so im dancing atleast 6 hours a day and we are required to look presentable at all times!Well i always used to use cheap foundation, but i was horrified to see that after a day at college (or even a few hours) my foundation had gone all patchy or uneven! And i never used liquid foundation because it made my skin feel all icky!Then i found Estee Lauder Double Wear. Its actually amazing!Its long-lasting and looks natural! It doesnt run or become uneven and my skin looks perfect everyday...even if its not underneath! It goes on so smooth and makes me feel gorgeous. One bottle lasts me 6months and i wear it everyday of the week!Definately worth the money!So if you like to party and dance or one of those energetic people that just want a decent long-lasting coverage this is for you!I have already recommended this to all my friends and i will never turn back! I was looking for a long lasting foundation to wear on my forthcoming wedding day, and so when I saw the double wear stay-in-place foundation I had to try it. It goes on evenly, and doesn't leave creases or blotchy patches, it keeps a smooth face throughout the day and doesn't run out as fast as you think it would! All in all a great product and one that I would definitely recommend.

I do like this foundation a great deal it does stay on pretty well, you can even cry and it stay's in place. I do find it a little on the thick side but if you use a sponge it does seem to make it look alot thinner and gives you a softer look. I find it hard to get dark foundation's i've been to many make up counter's and they'd said they do not have my colour. Estee lauder has a lovely range of darker colours. I would complan that the bottles are tiny tho... please make bigger bottles they don't last long. Also this foundation does dry quick but if you use a sponge you can blend it in better.

I discovered Double Wear by asking my hairdresser what foundation she was wearing as her skin was immaculate.I went straight to my local counter where the lady recommended the shade 'Fresco' for my skin.That was three years ago and I have never used anything else.Being 20 years old, I still have teenager-ish skin and the coverage of the product is amazing - I look like I have airbrushed skin! There is absolutely no orangey-ness and the foundation blends beautifully.The product is called Double Wear for a reason - I leave the house at 7.30am and when I get home at 6.30pm my make up looks as perfect as when I fist applied - without re-applying. I don't carry the product with me - I can trust it to last me all day without budging.I have a desk job and tend to rest my chin/cheek on my hand whilst staring at the computer. Every other foundation I have used leaves me with a white left cheek - but not Double Wear.There is no transfer onto clothes; you can pull a white shirt over your head knowing it won't leave a stain on the collar.The shades are beautiful - I would recommend to any skin type, any age.

I have worn foundation all my life and keep returning to this one. Other foundations are ok, but none cover like this one, or stay on so well I can just forget about it all day, as I know it will still be looking good. As I have got older, I find that Doublewear Light works better around my eyes, where there are fine lines, and the coverage is still great!

One of my most favorite foundations on the market at the moment, with its 16 hrs lasting ability even if you are hot, cold or even in the gym getting swetty this product stays where you put it, but that isnt the only thing thats great about this product, with the wide range of colours to suit any skin and its colour adaption you will always find a shade to suit you and ontop of all that this foundation offers a light and weightless feeling with surprisingly good coverage, I have to say this is a must buy for any busy woman.

I started using double wear when i was 21 and will never swap ive used many others over years but still wont find any like it, 29 now and still it covers acne scarring reddness ..just everything and isnt heavy.i put it on early morning 7 and i find by 12 it still looks perfect and even 4pm i like it even more because by that time it glows even on a night out u can gaurante when the club lights come on at 3 am me and my friends all have i full face on still even after dancing!!! its worth the money.Thankyou estee lauder.i am fair skinned and reckon 'Tawny' is the best shade and for special occasions or night outs if you self tan i use 'Shell beige' (beware tho always put a primer or highlighter on with this for evening wear as for photos you can look quite pale in any of the shades because of the special pigaments in it. ('Fresco' shade for fair skin is too pale u look a ghost)Brilliant for oily skin.

This is fantastic. I went to buy the powder version but the lady on the stand reccomended this. Reluctantly I agreed to be 'made up' and loved the results. I have mild Rosacre and have been suffering from oily skin and spots. This product covered the lot without making me look like I had piles of foundation on. I had even tried camoflague make up to cover the rosacre but after a few hours my oily skin would shine through and I would look patchy. I was beguinning to feel really self concious. Im only on day 3 of my new make up but I cant see me ever changing. I did buy the brush to apply it but prefer using my fingers as I felt with a brush I looked a little too made up. I did use the brush to add a bit more over my 'bad' areas though. Ive used powdered make up for years and found this easy to apply.I cant believe Ive found something that actually does what is says it will. Thank you Estee Lauder.

I have the worst skin so always have to wear foundation. However I'm really pale so most brands of foundation make me look bright orange and don't even cover my skin well. I found this foundation in duty free last year and was amazed at how flawless it made my skin. The shell shade is perfect for pale skin and I recieve loads of compliments whenever I wear it. My friend has quite dark skin and also finds it difficult to find foundations that match her skin tone but after I recommended Double Wear to her, she bought some in her shade and loves it. This is without a doubt the best foundation ever. I will never go back to those orange foundations now!

I have quite oily skin particulary on my t zone. This foundation is perfect for it, it evens, corrects and keeps the shine at bay.Before i apply my foundation i use the EL idealist, then apply moisturiser, followed by EL mattifying primer then I apply the double wear in ecru with a foundation brush to get an even smooth finish along with the light double wear concealer and then a dusting of double wear ecru to mattify.I tried the light double wear but didn't find it lasted as well as the double wear and it made me more shiney so i'm def sticking to it as nothing else comes close.Try it - you won't regret it.

I have been using this foundation in its many guises for almost 15 years. I have never had an adverse reaction (try anything else and my skin flares up in a nasty itchy rash!), I have an Olive complexion coming from the Mediterranean - but always have been able to find the perfect match - no matter what time of year it is or how tanned I get . I put it on in the Morning - wear it all day to work - and touch up the make-up (eyshadow, change lippy all EL as well) and go out in the evening - no other foundation gives me the confort and the convinience of this one - I absolutely Love It!

I have tried many foundations over the years and by all the usual suspects....!, had heard lots about this product but excused it to be like all of the rest, in short though, it simply is not like any other at all. I use colour (3W1 Tawny 37) which dries exactly like it goes on, the coverage & buildability are also second to none, and the staying power and oil control are superb. I also use E-L's 'Idealist Pore Minimizer' and/or 'Face Primer Plus' as my base, and on top of my foundation E-L's new 'Double Wear Mineral Rich Loose Powder - Intensity 3', the look is flawless and colour is beautiful, go and buy these products now and do not wait any longer (like I did, oh what a mistake!), you will not be disappointed.

Have suffered from acne since I was 14 and I am now 27. Must have used every single High Street brand of foundation that was/ is out there and not one has come remotely close to this one. Initially it seems expensive for a foundation but the coverage it gives you (medium- full) is absolute fantastic. Used to have to powder my face several times a day but now I only have to use a tissue to blot the oily areas ( nose and forehead) once a day and I'm fine.It's not drying at all and covers all my acne scars without the need for any concealer. You do need to make sure you get the exact shade to match your skin, but once that is done, you will look like you have flawless skin. The only downfall with this particular foundation is it does not come in a pump bottle, which would make distribution much easier. I will never use another foundation ever again! Buy it!!

Brilliant for oily skin

I started using this after a friend with a similar skin type recommended it. I must admit I'm impressed. I have very oily skin and find that with this foundation I don't need to blot anywhere near as often as before. It does give very good coverage, although I find I still need a tiny bit of concealer on some small areas, mainly because I don't like to cake double-wear on too thick! If you do apply heavy coverage it will start to look a tad cakey as the day wears on - but considering it's a fairly heavy foundation it's a lot better than some I've tried, and needless to say it does last all day without sliding off! I've tried the double-wear light but it doesn't last half as long, although would be much better for someone with normal skin type. I've never worn foundation everyday but since I've been using this I feel like I need it as I really notice my uneven skin tone if I've not got it on. One word of caution - it can cause the skin to dry out slightly after having it on all day - not a bad thing in my case!

I switched to this foundation after 10 year use of another high-end brand. My skin is very fair and sensitive and I suffer from rosacea, which means that some areas of my face are red and won’t tan, and I need strong coverage to hide the contrast with the healthy skin. I was recommended the DoubleWear by EL as the non-irritant foundation most suitable for rosacea skin, so I visited an EL counter to find the best match. I was very pleased with the friendly, professional service and the shade selected for me. Next day I applied DoubleWear on one side of my face and my usual foundation (also very good) on the other. I immediately preferred the look of DoubleWear, as it creates beautiful, skin-like finish: not too matte, with ‘mask effect’, and not too dewy that could get shiny later on the T-zone. Just natural, fresh look. It doesn’t settle in the pores and doesn’t accentuate fine lines. I did find it a bit sticky to apply as it dries very quickly. To give my foundations the real ‘acid test’, I skipped the oil-control lotion, serum and primer for the day. I then went on to have a busy, active day that included a work-out in a gym, cooking roast dinner and steaming lots of vegetables. I kept checking for any foundation ‘hazards’, such as shine, colour change etc. I wore it from 8AM to 9PM. Both performed well, DW also didn’t transfer on my white shirt. However, when I removed my make-up, the difference was quite dramatic: the DoubleWear half of my face was a lot less red! In fact, my skin looked better than it did in the morning before I applied it. What a contrast. I’ve been using DoubleWear ever since and my skin keeps improving.

I have red hair and a classic english rose complexion and have always had trouble trying to find a foundation that not only gave great coverage and looked natural but that was also the correct colour. I was fed up with finding foundations, particularly from another well known leading cosmetic company with prices around the same as EL, that after six months or so the colours changed or were removed completely. I admired my friend's foundation who told me she was wearing EL doublwear and subsequently tried Double Wear in 'shell' - it is a perfect colour for my pale skin, looks natural and lasts all day. I have pretty bad skin, it's very red, blotchy and oily in places - usually I have to wear a ton of concealer but it still usually ends up looking only ok.I decided to try double wear after asking a friend how her skin is always immaculate, it's more than I would usually spend but it is WORTH IT!! Complete coverage isn't even the words! I don't need any concealer any more and I can even wear blush now.Although at first it feels like it's going on heavy, you really don't feel it throughout the day - and it really lasts ALL day. I exercise a lot and even with 3.5 hrs hard sweating yesterday this stuff didn't even budge! The only down side is the bottle being glass with no pump, I hope there's not too much wastage.I'll never buy any other foundation ever again, this is the one for me.

I have very oily skin and have spent a small fortune on foundations in the past and have been let down with all of them. Double Wear however was a different story!! I used it along with Estee Lauder face primer and it stays near perfect for 12hrs. Must stress I have EXREMELY oily skin so I do get shine coming through but nothing that a blotting tissue doesn't fix.Goes on really well and covers fantasically (I use a foundation brush). A small amount goes a long way so great value for money!The only let down for me, which has lost it a star is the packaging. The foundation is thick and I'm afraid there will be a lot of waste nearer the end.

I was recommended this foundation by a friend and went to the counter to look at the shades. The consultant was amazing, she listened to my needs and tested a few colours on my jaw, then she chose the best match and made up my whole face with it. The product gives great coverage without being too thick and it has the benefit of an SPF which my previous foundation didn't have. The consultant also gave me tips on how to apply the foundation using a brush, I received a free brush and a sample of the night repair serum. All this PLUS it came in under my limited budget-very happy thanks Estee Lauder!

I had this foundation for the first time when I was about 14, and I have been using it ever since.I love this product for a number of reasons, the most important being the variety of the shades of the product, as I really struggle to find a shade that matches my skin tone, as I am very pale. At last I am able to purchase this foundation in the UK as I had to go via the USA! I am of Afro-Caribbean decent and there are many shades of "black". Estee Lauder matched my skin tone perfectly and I was very disappointed that the department store I purchased it from no longer supplied my shade - it was also unavailable on-line for a number of years. This foundation is perfect, it lasts all day without the need for a touch up, you only need a very small amount and it is very natural looking. It is good to have my shade back and I am buying a couple of bottles just in case my shade disappears again!

I used this a few years ago and always loved it. I used to apply it with my fingers and a couple of people commented that it didn't match my skin tone so I did the thing most women do and changed my foundation. I tried lots of other brands but never found one I liked more than this one, they would oxidise or wear off. I went back to Estee Lauder and I wish I'd always stayed with them! I use a brush now and I can blend it a lot easier, so I don't get that two tone so much. I use Shell which is the palest shade and I would benefit with one shade lighter if there was one, but this is pretty close and I adore it. If you're looking for a foundation that you can apply and then forget about then this is it, it doesn't change colour on your face, it doesn't wear off even on really hot days, your skin looks flawless. It's easily better than the cheap brands and the brands that charge more than double the price.

when i saw and heard the rave reviews of this product i decided to buy it, as having very pale/fair skin its extremely hard to find a foundation that matches and blends with my skin tone. Was delighted with the result, coverage was fantastic compared to any other foundation ive used in the past. However i then began to notice that just after wearing it for a few hours my mascara would smudge and rub off under my eyes. I obviously first put this down to the masacara and changed my masacara several times before then just trying a different foundation and it stopped. Im not sure why this happens i think the mascara just rubs off onto the skin and maybe other foundations have more resistance before it becomes all smudged. Wish i relised earlier as i walked round work all day with panda eyes for 3-4 weeks before i changed my foundation. If this didnt happen i would highly recommend it, but for that reason i'm gonna have to say its not worth the money.

I have very oily skin and also quite an uneven skintone with areas of redness on my nose and chin which I am very self concious about. I spent many years trying so many different foundations and all of them had the same problem, after a few hours my face would get shiny and the foundation would start to oxidise, also none of them covered the redness and I would have to use a heavy duty concealer on these areas. I then decided to try this foundation after all the positive reviews and also on the recommendation of one of my friend who has a similar skintype to meand swears by this, I'm so glad I did, this foundation is amazing, it lasts all day without having to re-apply and I only need a very small amount as it has such good coverage, it really is unbelievable, I'd recommend it to anyone. Will never use any other foundation again. 10/10.

a good foundation

i recently bought this for the first time. I normally use a powder compact as I like full coverage and I hadn't found a liquid which gave such good results. This one does. The coverage is very good and I only need to use a little of the product. The colour match is good and the matt finish is nice. It doesn't seem to come off on clothes etc. However, my skin can be oily across the T- zone and when used alone, the shine does come through after a few hours, especially on my nose so probably best to set it with a little bit of pressed powder.

Started using this product in my very early teens to hide acne scars and blemishes, i was hooked from day one! I was so self conscious of my bad skin, and found this to be the only foundation that would cover scars, spots and wouldn't disappear after a few hours. After 9 years of use I have never bought another foundation, I have to say 5 stars because it really did save my skin problems, however I find it hard to get a perfect match in shades so maybe the range needs to expand, maybe this is just me I don't know! I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone, especially those looking to cover blemishes and scars, you will not find a better foundation!

I first found out about Double Wear when I picked up a sample in a magazine. That was three years ago and I am still using it. I have always struggled to find a foundation which will give me coverage without looking like I've caked on my make up. Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation provides a medium to full coverage (closer to the full I think) but unlike many other full coverage foundations it feels incredibly light on the skin, almost like you're not wearing any. A tiny bit goes very far - only a small amount needed for your whole face but it is buildable if more coverage is what you need in certain places, for example a break-out. Overall this foundation provides a flawless finish to your skin which does not budge - it claims 15 hours of staying power, I would say close to 24hr if you powder it. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and occasional dry patches on my chin and this foundation does not flake or melt away. So whether you are looking to invest in a good quality foundation or just interested in what you're missing out on, 3/4 drugstore foundations which you bought and weren't that happy with have already equaled the price of the flawless Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation you'll love and continue to love every day. So, if you think about it, it's totally worth that bit more money!

This is the most amazing foundation i have ever used! It literally stays put all day and doesnt even budge! For ages ive been looking for a foundation that provides medium-full coverage but without being heavy and cakey and this is it! It feels so lightweight on my skin and gives the best coverage without looking too much. This is the best foundation for me because i dont even need a base or even concealer and it really controls shine and oil all day and can last through hot humid weather. It looks great on my skin and gives it that airbrushed finish which is highly desired. I love it and i will continue using it forever :-) xxxxx

This is fantastic - I hesitated to buy it because my sensitive skin is so problematic - I'm 57 - greasy T zone and need good coverage due to some redness, thread veins etc. I've always needed to touch up and blot throughout the day with others but this doesn't move - looks the same 15 hrs later This foundation just sinks in beautifully, you dont feel you're wearing it. I've got it in Fresco and it's such a good match - I hope Estee Lauder never stops producing this. I love this foundation! When my friend first recommended it to me and told me it was called 'double wear' I was worried that it would feel very heavy on my skin, but I was looking for a new foundation and I thought I would just give it a try and it doesn't feel heavy at all! It applies easily and you only need a small amount for full coverage which means that a bottle goes far.My skin is fair and I often have trouble finding one that matches my skin colour but there were plenty of paler colours to pick from and I found one that matches my skin perfectly. I have bought it twice now and will continue to buy it!

I would not buy any other foundation! I've been using this ever since my early teens when I had bad acne. It used to cover everything beautifully and stayed in place all day. Now I'm early 20's and thankfully acne free, it still does the job perfectly. I have quite dry skin and this foundation never looks cakes or flakey at all. It smooths on beautifully and literally does provide all day wear. I can put this on at 7am and still have a perfect skin by 11pm. I'd not use anything else. The added bonus is the SPF 10.

I have an oily skin with some spots and redness. The idea was to cover these up and get nice finish. I used the product and on my young face and the wrinkles appeared. Not even lines-wrinkles. Around eye area, mounth it will expose everything!. I am in my twenties I cant even think of what will happen on the face of older ladies. If you do have any inperfections on your face it will not cover it perfectly unless you will put 10 layeres and start looking like you had 1kg of make up on your face. It also get darker on skin which is not great cause it makes your skin on your face look unnatural. Another thing in SPF 10!! It is like no SPF at all- 15 is the standard. Apart from that its price the cosmetic is giving nothing appart from bad coverage. I only got it because my previous product that I got in South Korea finished. Now I can see the diffrence. The other product offered me high SPF, smoth consistency, anty -aging ingredients, red scaring whithening and only for 1/3 of the price. I think this product doesnt offer anything that you would get for much less money. And lastly the botle:no pump, no you can spill to much prduct and than you waste it. The bottle is wide so it will be hard to get all the product out so out of 30ml you paid you will use 25ml because the rest will stay in the bottel with no way to get it out. Think before buying there are getter product out there.

I was told of this foundation by my friend, she had her makeup done for her daughters wedding. After the wedding that took place at midday, at the reception afterwards and through the evening (9pm) I asked if she had touched up her foundation as it still looked as good as when it was applied at 11am that morning. She said that she hadn't and it still felt great, no oil at all. From this I said that I would have a look at this in the shop and buy as I have oily skin and the matte finish that the foundation gives is excellent.I have purchased this foundation today and I am totally in LOVE with this product. It is so easy to apply, just a small amount on the back of my hand and applied with a foundation brush. I put this on at 1pm and have just taken it off at 10:30pm and have not had any oil appear all day. This is the best foundation I have tried ever, can't say enough about the quality of this product.Will buy this from now on, it's great to find one that works !!!!!

I read reviews on this product and thought that it must be too good to be true, however after trying it for a few weeks I can say it is the best foundation I've ever tried. It is expensive but as other reviewers have said a little goes a long way and you can build up the cover if you wish. I use this foundation every day, the reasons why I love it so much as a customer and as a make-up artist are because it stays put all day long, it suits most skin types,gives flawless cover of the skin, you dont need much to get a flawless cover and it can be applied with finger or a brush and it looks just as good! My skin is normal type, but most foundations appear Cakey after a while..... I use a night time moisturiser leave for 2 mins, apply double wear foundation for a full coverage. It appears so fresh, flawless and dewy...... Stays in place all day..... Max coverage, but I don't feel it on, doesn't rub off! I'll be using on my wedding day. I love this. I've always used MAC, but feel it rubs on to clothes & feels heavy on skin. Love Estée Lauder!I love that coverage can be sheer for daily usage, or buildable to a full coverage (still looking natural!)...... Great for photographing even tho has an SPF!

Discovered double wear about a year ago now and I now don't know how I ever lived without it! I love the covergage it gives me a real flawless finish and it really does stay on all day long with no smudging or running. Only thing I would like to see changed is the glass bottle as it would be nice to get the last out of the bottle! I have always used cheaper foundations in the past because i didn't think it was worth paying more but now, after using this, i am converted! I have regular breakouts and this foundation, combined with the disappear concealer, covers up blemishes really well and lasts all day. It looks thick when it comes out of the bottle but it doesn't feel or look heavy on your skin. One tip, I ended up using a shade lighter than the find your foundation tool suggested so, if you are a first time buyer, it is worth testing the shades in a shop before buying online.

I have been using Double Wear "Fresco" for many years and would not change. I find I apply it in the morning and it stays put until I cleanse it off at bedtime. I have been using this product for years and find it simply the best foundation on the market. My daughter also uses it and has converted many of her friends. Imagine my shock when during my last visit to the Estee Lauder counter I encountered the 'new' fresco shade! Its not a slight change its a totally different colour and looks somewhat orange in comparison. I've had to be colour matched again and although my new shade is okay its just not as perfect a match as the old fresco. So, any devoted Fresco users out there beware, check the shade code, the old being 2n2 the new being 2c3 I think. Please Estee Lauder, re-think this decision and give us back the old Fresco that is from what the Estee Lauder lady told me one of your most popular shades.

I have tried A LOT of foundations and they have all been a disaster! I have dry skin. Amd yes i do all i am supposed to; exfoliate, moisturise etc, but still if use any kind of foundation brush of buffing brush this foundation on me looks terrible. But i have found the perfect way to apply this with an egg shaped sponge type thing, you know what i mean..which i use damp, and now i can wear this foundation, it looks totally natural and lovely and non-flaky and no other foundation comes close to the non-transferability and longevity of this foundation. I love it. If you can't wear it at first, you are applying it wrong, so persevere! You'll be glad you did!!

If you want a natural look then maybe a lighter foundation is better but for a "made up" look that lasts all day without much need for touching up this is fab. This is such an amazing product. I have tried so many foundations (spent disgusting amounts of money on them too!) and I always come back to this. I am a complete beauty addict.You need to use a very hydrating moisturiser underneath, I use a serum too and it just sits beautifully all day. I always get comments on how healthy my skin looks.It says it is medium coverage, but I can get a light-medium, medium and heavy coverage. A real multi use foundation. The best bit if you really don't need much, it lasts ages.Recommended it to loads of friends (and Mum's friends) and every single one of them have loved it!

I'm in my early 50's, and I've not looked after my skin unfortunately, and so have the pigmentation spots, wrinkles, and thread veins to show for it! (let that be a warning to you to take care of your skin!). I was recommended Double Wear by an Estee Lauder rep about 10 years ago, and she also recommended for my skin, to also use the Spotlight cream, to either use underneath the foundation, or to mix with it. The combination of these two is brilliant! I have combination skin and over the last 10 years, my cheeks have got drier, but still this wonderful foundation is ideal. A little goes a long way, and it can be built up for your ideal coverage on those areas that need more help, but it still never looks cakey or dry, especially if you use the correct moisturiser for your type of skin. Please, please, please, NEVER stop manufacturing this. I've tried so many foundations over the years, but always come back to this. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

This is the best makeup I have ever worn! I usually get cheap foundations and I am constantly re-applying it throughout the day. I was recommended this foundation and was told it I would not have to re-apply it all day, I decided to put it to the test. It was absolutely perfect and I was so surprised about how I good my skin looked with this. There were no patches. A few tips would be to rub it in quick when using because it dries quickly, and to use a cheap powder finish on top of this foundation. But then again that depends on if you like the shiny finish look or not. The powder will just give it that edge which will last all day. Trust me, I am the biggest fusspot when it comes to foundation, this is THE best foundation I have tried. You may be spending a lot in one go but it is worth it and it will last a good few months. This year alone I have tried 2 different brands and 3 different shades to find the “perfect” foundation – can you imagine how much money I’ve spent?? Anyway, this week I saw an advert for the double wear but I kinda ignored it because as a black woman I didn’t think EL did shades for my complexion, how wrong was I? I bought a bottle on Thursday and can honestly say my search is OVER!! Today I applied the foundation at about 1pm, it is now 8.45 pm and I look exactly the same as when I applied it and that has NEVER happened before. I have done all the usual Saturday stuff, got hot and bothered and still my face looks flawless – please God, please make sure that EL never discontinue rich mahogany otherwise I will have to give up going out in public. I intend to order a couple of bottles online just in case though ;)PS .. I'm not even shiny which is also a first for me .. Very happy!!!

I was at Heathrow A'prt waiting for my short flight home, after a 12 hour flight and I was stopped at the EL counter & asked if I wanted a make over !! The perfect time they told me ! I did look really tired and old. When she finished I couldn't believe how great I looked. I now wear the Double Wear in Pale Almond everyday it still looks great at the end of the as it did at the beginning. A big thank you to the lady at the EL counter at Heathrow & to BA for delaying my flight had they not I would never have found this fab foundation.

I noticed that the Estee Lauder make up assistant looked very natural, which is so rare for many other brands found in London! I asked which foundation she was wearing, and she said it was the Double Wear. She matched my own tone very well with a specialised chart, and then applied the foundation to my face lightly with a brush. It went on well but did need rubbing in a bit for an even cover, but once it was rubbed it I was left with a well-matched face which looked matte and exceptionally natural, and not at all monochrome. I did notice that when the creamy foundation was applied to my skin it actually had a yellow tint. I have more of a pink skin tone which the foundation seemed to match more and more as it was rubbed in. It also gave more cover than a powder foundation, but it also did this in a more natural and smooth way than a powder. It looked like I didn't actually have make up on, and I really like that – I love natural looking skin make up! Furthermore, I didn’t look powdery or yellow in bright lights which is such a huge bonus.I went away with a 10 day sample which I’ve been rubbing onto my skin with my finger tips, and that’s enough to give a smooth and well-covered result. What I didn’t expect (because I now have exceptionally low expectations from foundations) is that the beautiful matte cover lasted and lasted. Not for a couple of hours, but actually all day. My skin has looked beautiful and clear despite rushing around London, going on the underground, going out to dinner and shopping. It even stayed put throughout my trip to the theatre, even though I was covering my face with my hands – it was a horror show! The foundation just stayed put and it didn’t come off on tissues or on my hands. And it doesn’t smell!After about 7 hours my nose looked a little “dewy”, but certainly not greasy/oily. Just natural. I discovered Double Wear Foundation 14 years ago when i dropped into a store looking for wedding make-up. I can honestly say i have never used anything else since.I always had trouble finding a foundation to suit my skin type. I have greasy skin and since the birth of my first child have suffered from pigmentation issues. Double wear covers all of the uneven skin tone and even though towards the end of the day i am starting to "shine" a little, there is no other foundation that gets close.I would highly recommend to anyone..BRILLIANT!!!

i have oily skin and slight open pores. I have tried every make up available over the years, and decided to spend more on double wear.I put it on in the morning with a quick waft of bronzer and when i get home at night it still looks good. I use 'idealist' first underneath as it can be a bit dry to apply. I still try the odd other foundation and 5 years later still return to this. Fab Product ,couldnt leave home without it.

I was so excited about using this Double Wear Foundation. If everything I'd read was true this was going to really change my make up routine. I am 51, I have combination, but have a real problem with the T zone shine, forever dabbing my chin, nose and surrounding are forehead with the back of my hand and repeating coverage from either powder or foundation.My foundation/powder had all but disappeared by late morning.I had come to accept that as my lot. I'd spent a lot of money over the years thinking, well this one might be different but to no avail. But then came Estee Lauder. I suppose having a little more money allowed me to actually look further up the list of foundations. The first day I wore it, I overdid it. When reviewers say you don't need much, they really mean it. I used too much and made myself look too pale and heavily made up and pasty. So the next day as I was waiting for a foundation brush I decided to use my concealer brush I poured a little into the lid of the bottle and dabbed on all areas.I blended it all in with the brush which didn't take long and had a lovely even coverage added my other make up, but could see I didn't need any concealer at all. I kept checking it's progress throughout the day and couldn't believe it looked the same as when first applied. There was a nice fresh looking finish, not dry at all. Today was the best test of all. I applied my make up at 8am and had a normal day I then took my dog out at 3pm and the weather was awful. I was blowing my nose wiping watery eyes and had wind and rain lashing at me, when I came back home I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe it. Apart from a little redness around my nose, the make up was perfect. It's wonderful and I don't see any reason that I will ever change brands now, it's so great to actually find something that lives up to the reviews. It's honestly worth the money and it's worth looking around to see if you can get it a bit cheaper, but it would be worth every penny anyway. I

So I recently left a review here telling you how disappointed I was that Shell had been discontinued.I had bought Ivory Nude as a replacement but I was still missing my beloved Shell, which was the perfect match for my skin.Imagine my delight today when I open my emails to find one from Estee Lauder, apologising for my disappointment and amazing me by telling me they've decided to bring back Shell!It was down to customer comments and popularity and they've said it WILL be coming back, but they don't know when-I was recommended to keep an eye on the website.I'm delighted!I love Estee Lauder DoubleWear Foundation.It lasts all day and doesn't come off on clothes; it feels and looks flawless and gives your skin an almost airbrush quality and I think, because it lasts so long, it's well worth the money.So there you have it!Rejoice, Shell lovers, it's coming back!

I converted to double wear on the recommendation of two friends and I have never looked back!My skin has some scaring and uneven skin tone that i am concious of but this foundation covers all! I am also very pale!!!! I work in a hair salon and conditions are very hot and humid, double wear is the ONLY foundation that leaves me shine free at the end if a 10 hour shift!I was using "shell" 1c1 since August and I have loved it! To my horror it has been discontinued! So dissapointed!!!! I have since read reviews that it is returning and I am soooooo happy!I have tried to find a foundation that works as well for me and is the correct shade but it is impossible!!!!!Double Wear Foundation is the PERFECT shade for me, even using the lightest shade in other brands are not light enough! It is a beautiful consistency, meaning it's easy to apply! It stays on all day!!!! Only can be removed with make-up remover which means I only apply once and no touch ups! An it stays oil free!!!!I think finding the right foundation is so important and can do wonders for self confidence!Really hope it is not discontinued again!!!! X

The coverage is excellent and it stay put all day!I was very disappointed when I went to get a new bottle of shell and found that it has been discontinued!! I love love love this foundation but I wish I could also get it without the SPF so I could wear it on nights out without getting the dreaded whiteface.I can't get a good colour match with DW Light so I now wear my doublewear and avoid cameras. It is such a shame as SPF 10 isn't really enough to provide any protection on its own so why not remove it or have 2 and SPF one and one without.Anyway none of this would ever prevent me from buying it as it is without a doubt the best I have used and I have used a lot.PS Thank you for the new warm shades - Estee Lauded done good :)

I decided to invest in some of this make-up last year and I spent a small fortune on not only the make-up but an application brush and primer as well. I was really excited to try it all when I got home but was really disappointed when I just couldn’t seem to apply it properly. I used the primer first and then applied the foundation with the brush, but the primer coupled with the foundation seemed to make all my pores really visible and the more I used the brush the more the foundation just seemed to vanish to nothing and not cover any of my skin imperfections at all! (I should add at this point that despite being 26 my skin is quite oily and very spot-prone, and I also have quite a lot of scarring.) So, very disheartened, I put everything away in a drawer and it’s only now, almost a year later, I thought I’d have another go with it, having read all the really positive reviews on here.This time I didn’t put on any primer, I just applied directly to my cleansed face and smoothed it over with my fingertips. I did try a damp make-up sponge at first but it just didn’t seem to spread/cover very well, and I didn’t even try the brush as I really didn’t get on well with it last time! It went on so much better using my fingertips and gave a nice finish, although didn’t completely cover a few spots & scars, so I had to dab small amounts of foundation over those to cover them. As my skin usually gets very shiny throughout the day I concluded with a bit of powder to give more of a matte finish, and then I was ready to see how the make-up would withstand a full day at work!And so the moment of truth … at 11.30 I looked in the mirror (only 4 hours after applying) and it wasn’t good at all – cakey, oily, and not at all like when I had first put it on. I wish I could be positive like the majority of the other reviews but sadly for me this make-up is just no good. I am a beauty therapist (so I always have to look the part) Only problem is, I suffer from bad acne! :(I have tried so many different brands of foundation and could never find one which gave a good coverage or lasted throughout the day. A friend with a similar skin type recommended the estee lauder double wear as she said it was fantastic! To be honest, when I saw the price for the size of the bottle, i was in two minds whether to buy it or not (I use foundation everyday, so a 30ml bottle of foundation doesnt usually last me very long)I decided to give it ago & it was the best choice I have ever made!-Its not too heavy-It looks flawless and evens out my complexion-It lasts ALL day long-There are so many different shades! (which is great for me as my skin changes throughout the year)-The 30ml bottle lasts me quite a while as I don't have to use very muchI will NEVER go back to another foundation and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone with any skin type, colour or condition!

I have pale skin, and it's the only foundation I've found that is light enough for me but still has good coverage, and it lasts all day with one application.I am DEVASTATED to be told it has been discontinued. This may sound a little dramatic, but I have felt so much more confident wearing it! For me, foundation is a necessity. I am 22 and I get the occasional break outs and I have scars left from previous spots. Recently my skin started turning oily so I decided that I need to change my foundation to one that will give me full coverage as well as helping against the oily look.Having the right foundation is really important so I did some research and this foundation had great reviews plus was highly recommended.So the following day I took myself to my local Estee Lauder counter to get colour matched. The lady matched me with two shades which didn't really match my skin tone. I offered to go look at the foundation shades myself and matched myself to 2W2 Rattan. I got her to sample it out on my face and it looked good.The next day I put it on and it looked great on my skin but I did have to put on a lot of layers as well as concealer to cover the scars. An hour went by at work and I looked at myself in the mirror, I didn't like the way my skin looked. It just made my face look dull and aged. I looked grey too. Then 3 hours later my nose was really shiny so I had to go powder my nose.At the price I paid for this foundation and after how highly people spoke of it, I have to say I am disappointed and will not be buying this foundation again.

I recently went to my local lauder counter to repurchase my beloved double wear in 1C1 Shell only to be told about the change to double wear. I had been looking for a foundation pale enough for me for years now so i was delighted when i found estee lauder did one light enough. Well not anymore :(. The new lightest shades are considerably darker and more yellow. What gets me is the slogan, "A shade for every skin tone". That is not the case if you are fair skinned. Very upset and disappointed. I now save my last few drops of double wear for nights out or special occasions as i am yet to find a replacement. PLEASE MAKE A LIGHTER SHADE! Even if it isn't shell, just something lighter would be good.

I have tea-coloured Asian skin with very yellow undertones which is impossible to buy for! But I was matched to 3w1 Tawny. At first, I thought it looked a little light in the bottle/ on my hand but after applying it to my face, it almost immediately blended in. The foundation is on the drier end of the scale so you have to be careful and work it in fast, and I've found that I don't really need to use a setting powder as this can look cakey.My only criticism is that both the other Double Wear foundations come in handy squeezy bootles, but this one does not :( Please do something about it Est��e Lauder!

used to absolutley love this foundation, but after estee lauder has tinkered about with the colours i can no longer find a shade to match, i have tried 10 shades, yes 10, in the past week to try and find my perfect match and NONE suited me at all. Gutted about this as this foundation really is fantastic, lasts all day and no touch ups are needed, looks just as good late at night as it did when you first apply it in the morning. The difference in colour betweeen one colour and the next one up is ridiculous!! estee lauder should have kept all their original colours and introduced more new shades. They say they have a shade to suit all skin tones.....utter tripe!

I always found it difficult to find a foundation that matches my pale skin but 1C1 Shell was great!Then I find out EL have changed all their colours and no longer sell it! The two shades that have replaced it aren't any good. They are much too yellow and not as light/pale! I am so gutted that EL have decided to discontinue the shade 1C1 Shell. I am very pale skinned and it was the only foundation I have ever found that is pale enough for my skin. Even the lightest shade in most foundations is too dark for me. Like other customers I have now had to stop purchasing double wear and am currently using another brand. This seemed to be the only foundation on the market that had both high coverage/long lasting wear and a very pale tone. It was definitely unique. I really hope that EL look at these reviews and consider bringing shell back. The Shade Cool Bone that they used to replace it is too warm and looks very orange. There definitely isn't a shade to suit all skin tones now.

After years of experimentation with various foundation brands to find the right formulation and shade for my pale skin I came across Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and have not looked back since. At least a decade on, if not longer, I am still a devotee. This foundation is truly unique, providing long lasting flawless and natural coverage for my combination skin, in all climates, and the Fresco 2N2 shade suited my skin tone beautifully. I have also recommended this foundation to many others who have commented on it.Imagine my horror then when I visited the Estee Lauder counter recently to find that the shades had changed. The new Fresco shade is completely different as other reviewers have stated. I was colour matched with the new Pale Almond shade with which I have been disappointed, so much so that I am now looking at other brands again to find a better colour fit.Whilst reaching a new and wider target market through the increase/revamp of the shade range you appear to be alienating your loyal customer base. I used to absolutely love this foundation, I'm only 18 so my friends thought it was a bit odd when they found out I've always used this, however it used to be so good I could never imagine trying anything else. I used to have pebble and then when I was abroad ivory beige. Something has changed, the colours and textures are so awful that I don't think I'll ever repurchase. Well that's me forced out of this brand as the 'new' shades have pushed out the paler of us.When i was on the last few drops of my old Shell bottle (i stocked up back in October so this is the first time i've seen the new shades), I visited my local Estee Lauder counter. We went through all shades and tried to match these to the remains of the shell bottle. Not even anywhere near a match!I've been using Double Wear Shell for the last 4/5 years, recommended to friends as the coverage and shade is ideal. Now I feel the pale & interesting customers have yet again been pushed out. After much trying i've found a match with a different brand so unless Shell gets resurrected then i'll be another lost customer.

After hearing about this make up and reading the reviews, i knew that i had to get this foundation. When i first bought my double wear foundation in 1C1 Cool Bone, i couldn't wait to try it on... but sadly it did not live up to expectation. I tried putting it on in different ways but every time i put it on, i hated it and wanted to take it off! I decided to go onto YouTube to see how other people put this make up on and found a video which helped me a lot. I bought a new type of Foundation Primer (GOSH foundation primer) to see if that made any difference. And it did, it is like i am putting on a completely different foundation. I now would recommend this product for any skin type. With the primer under the foundation, blackheads are invisible and your skin is flawless. I feel so much more confident wearing my make up now than ever before, although it did take me a while to figure out how to use it. I hope this helped. x

I love this foundation. After spending so long trying to find a foundation that suited me perfectly, I was over the moon to discover this. I am very pale and a redhead so I struggle to find a colour that matches.I am so so upset that they have discontinued Shell. When I went to the Estee Lauder counter recently they said the replacement for Shell was Cool Bone but it was completely different and way too dark and yellow for me. I have pinky undertones so I thought I would try the current lightest shade which is Ecru.This still isn't right but I've had to make do :(I spoke to an Estee Lauder advisor who said that they are in fact bringing back Shell but they don't have a date.PLEASE BRING SHELL BACK ASAP!!!!!!!

Well I'm not too sure what all the fuss is about with the new shades, there are so many!! I LOVE this stuff! Have been using for years and use different shades as the seasons change. I've had to change to some of the new shades but have been totally happy with them and if they are not quite right, just mix a lighter or darker shade in. All EL reps are really helpful and will let you have samples to take away and test to get your perfect shade, and you can use these samples to mix with your main shade if need be.

I absolutely love this foundation. I apply this at 6 am in the morning before my daily commute to work I return at 6 in the evening people have been commenting how perfect my make up is. Please note I do not touch this up during the day! I then after work attend boot camp and do not have time to remove my make up. After one hour of extreme fitness and literally rolling around in the mud the make up is still perfect! I treated myself to this foundation a couple of years ago for my 30th birthday-the rep at the counter in boots actually recommended too dark a shade, but I have since got the perfect shade for me with some help from the wonderful online advisors.I have spent a fortune over the years on foundations that just dont last the distance, and as a busy mum of 2 I have enough to think of without having to worry about if my makeup has slid off my face-with this I dont worry about my makeup til its time to take it off at night, even in the heat of summer!!!Given how long it lasts, how little i need to use even wearing daily it lasts me way longer than a cheaper foundation would. I have used Shell in the Double Wear range for years. I even used in for my wedding day last year and I was very pleased with the photos. Please, please, please reinstate this shade. The new shades (Cool Bone, Ivory Nude) that were recommended instead are very much darker and more yellow and I cannot wear them. I'm currently using a sample of Shell that an Estee Lauder assistant kindly gave me when I explained the problem, but this will run out soon. The new shades are no good for pale skin - please bring back Shell. From a quick review of Estee Lauder Double Wear users' comments (particularly on the .com site), this is a common plea. Please listen to your loyal customers. I have now started trying other brands and will have to move to another company's make-up range if Shell is not reinstated.

Used this foundation for the last five years and I've recommended it to loads of people but not anymore. In desperation bought the new IC1 shade in pale bone-awful!! I look like an oompa loompa i'm so orange! What a waste of best part of ��30-so disappointed. I am so glad i did because i asked the sales assistant what would my shade be for my pale complection & she said before she put the colour on 2C3 Fresco so she wiped a bit of my makeup i already had on & put 2C3 Fresco on & it looked so nice so i have wore this ever since, i am very glad that i went to an Estee Lauder counter because if you are unsure of your colour then the best thing to do is go to your nearest counter. I have loved this foundation as many have for years then you change the formula and the shades and all of a sudden people are not happy with this anymore...including me. Its thin, doesn't last the same and just doesn't wear like it did, its lost the doublewear title it once deserved, please listen to your customers and change it back..the shade ecru was 1n1, now ecru is 1n2 and 1n1 is ivory...but neither of them are the sam colour as the original ecru 1n1....!!! i wish companies would listen to their customers and leave things that work alone.

Have been a long term fan of this make up for as long as I can remember. It's the only foundation I know that genuinely lasts all day, even through gym workouts, and has a brilliant range of shades. However, the most recent bottle I have purchased, although still called 'Sand' is clearly a different shade. I suddenly have tide marks - not a good look. My sister in law, who wears Fresco, has exactly the same issue. Estee Lauder, what have you done? Please, please keep to the original shades, or give clearer information on how and why the colours have changed.

During the summer I use pebble,However I'm am now left very disappointed because Est��e launder have messed around with there colours....why? It's now awful I look very pink!! I've been into all retailers who have given me testers for desert beige I looked like I had jaundice . Then a sample for pure beige that looks like I have been rolling around in mud! Before purchasing Double Wear I was forever changing my foundation to the latest high street brand. Never finding the perfect fit for my skin. My normal price range was around ��12 - ��20, so when buying this foundation It was a little over my price range, However i had heard great reviews and wanted to try the product for myself. After purchasing this product I have never looked back, it is a perfect fit to my skin and great value for money. This foundation lasts around 3-6 months. The only tip i would suggest is invest in a good make up remover, as the foundation can be a little heavy and harder to get off.

I've been using this make up for years and years! It's a really good thick makeup but still looks light it doesn't look pasted on or greasy and goes really well with the double wear powder on top, or the bronze wear which I use in the summer. They stopped doing my colour, but I'm not complaining because after a couple of attempts I've found another one I actually prefer! i would be lost without this make-up it beats any other on the high street for cover up and it lasts all day whatever the weather!

After reading great things about this foundation, I was really disappointed to find it was nowhere near as good as my usual foundation (Double Wear Camouflage)The formula is very runny and thin, which makes application difficult. You have to work very quickly to build up to a decent coverage, otherwise the product becomes patchy as you try adding on top of the foundation that's already setting. It clings to any dry areas too, which just highlights the problem. Once I got the hang of it, I set it with my usual powder and it stayed in place for 5 hours. It definitely does not last 15 hours as advertised. The second time I wore this was to a wedding and after 8 hours my make-up was extremely patchy and looked awful. The Double Wear Camouflage Foundation still looks flawfless after a whole day rushing around at work, so I'm definitely going to be sticking with that.I'm disappointed though because I was after a more natural-looking, lightweight foundation. This watery consistency is just too lightweight for me though. Perhaps it's best on someone with problem-free skin who just wants a little enhancement.

The new Fresco 2c3 makes me look like I've been Tangoed!!So, after wasting ��28 on this, in desperation I bought the Re-Nutriv foundation, as all the reviews were good, but although the EL lady matched my old Fresco to Radiant Ivory and it looks lovely when you first apply it, it just doesn't have the staying power of Double Wear. So, now another ��63 wasted!The last straw for me was also discovering that Projectionist Mascara has been discontinued. I don't understand why EL doesn't care about losing it's customers, it makes no commercial sense whatsoever.If you'd looked through my make up bag 10 years ago, 90% of it would have been EL products, but now, my last 2 beloved products have also gone, so it's time to say goodbye to EL and look for alternative brands, which is such a shame.

I have been wearing double wear for years now and it is by far the best foundation I have tried. On first purchase I thought it was pricey however the bottle lasts and lasts. You don't need much on one application and also with this foundation you can build it up if you need to for extra coverage. The finish is matte and so I find I don't need any powder on after applying this. The staying power is great which suits me as I tend to be self conscious of my skin and it is nice to freshen up after running around all day and not have to do much in terms of fixing my make up. Great for covering scars, spots and blemishes. Would definitely recommend a colour match from a counter if it is a first time buy though as if you get the colour wrong then it does stand out. I have a shade for winter and summer. Love buying online to get free samples too although it would be nice to get this perk in stores too EL? However cannot fault this product, please don't ever stop making it!

This product does exactly what it sets out to do. The coverage is excellent, but not thick and cloying; it stays in place all day and still looks good at the end of a day. I heard all the girls at work rambling on about Double wear foundation and I thought I'd give it a try. I have been using Makeup forever HD for 2-3 years now in 127 and I was happy with it but there was no harm in trying something new. anyway I went over and the Lauder girl and she matched me up to ivory beige, which I would say is similar to 127 MUFE HD. Anyway I loved it, it feels so light ( not cloggy ) on my skin but gives a fantastic coverage, I would say a natural finish.I'v been using it for a few weeks now and I Have fairly dry skin. I feel that from time to time it can be a little drying on my face and sort of enhance my dry patches so all I do its put a blob of moisturizer on the back of my hand, mix a pea-ish size amount of foundation in aswell and with my brush then work it into my face in a circular motion in an outwards direction to get a a smoother finish or I mix a blob of my sheer highlighter in the foundation to give me a dewier finish. All in all I have to says its a really nice foundation and its cheaper than Make up forever.

I love this foundation, it is by far the best on the market at concealing spots, blemishes and red patches. It is brilliant for oily skin as it has a very matte finish, I only need to use a small amount of powder during the day to keep my face completely shine-free. The coverage is amazing, the consistency doesn't feel too thick to apply over your face either (although I would recommend using a good moisturiser and the EL Matte Perfecting Primer underneath to ensure it looks flawless on!) Would 100% recommend to anyone, especially those with problem skin.

pros:

this is good for skin tones that may want a small tint of tan to it. As a asian, using this i did realise it did make me look slightly tanned which i didn't want but it says what it does in the package. it comes on smoothly and doesn't come off like some foundations do when touching it.

I stopped using this fab foundation a few years ago simply because I could not get the correct shade for my yellow toned skin. The new range of shades is AMAZING !! I have discovered the perfect shade cashew 3w2 and I am delighted to be able to wear this and be 100% happy with the shade. I have heard a few people aren't happy about the changes but to me this is my PERFECT foundation and I will never need to look elsewhere ever again! WELL DONE ESTEE LAUDER for taking the difficult decision to change the colours....no doubt many will complain but I feel sure the range of shades should now enable everyone to get a good match. I will now be buying other EL products such as lipsticks and eyeshadows!!! THANK YOU from a very happy returned customer.

Finally i have foundation my perfect foundation!I read a few reveiws before i purchased this product and they were mostly negative but i dont understand how they were negative. This is my favourite foundation by far. It doesnt come with a pump which i find is so much better, it is meduim to full coverage which i love as it covers my freckles perfectly and doesnt look cakey. For me it lasts the whole day but i just like to put powder on my foreheadand around my mouth just incase it comes off. It is a bit pricey but its definetly worth it as it lasts months for me and by the time it runs out i have enough money saved to buy a new one. I love recommend this product simply because its just great!

I have tried so many foundations since early teenage years up until now. This foundation was recommended to me, so of course was going to try it. When I used it, I was amazed at the staying power and coverage it gave my skin. Finally A foundation that stays put all day, makes your skin look healthy and non oily. No touch up all day what a relief, have to be quick with application, dries quickly, it gives you a very even cover though. I have mature skin and my colour is not as even as it once was :( I have tried a sample of double wear light which I feel is much better for me for day wear. This would be just the ticket for evening wear on a night out, no need for touch up. Yahoo!!

After years of trying a plethora of foundations, I tried Double Wear and, quite simply, it's changed my life. I suffer with mild rosacea, and am keen to cover the unsightly red rash. Inevitably, in the past, the redness shines through by mid-morning. I suffer no longer. I apply Double Wear in the morning with a brush, and this enables me to layer the foundation, applying more on the cheeks and less on the forehead, etc. I would expect to have to reapply before a night out 12 hours later, but no. I can honestly say, this foundation works from dawn to midnight. Also, friends have complimented me on my complexion for the first time in my life���I'm 46. Please don't ever stop making this miracle potion. I've made converts of others, and I don't want to let them down! : )

I have THEE oily skin ever. Every foundation I've used has lasted maximum 3 hours on my skin before I have a compleatly make up free face but I was extremely impressed by Est��e Lauder Doublewear, it's lasted ALL day, I came home late that evening and my make up looked like it had been done 20 minutes ago which is something I'd never experienced in my life. When applied properly you can't even tell its there, doesn't look cakey or artificial doesn't break me out and controls my oil like no other. I am on my second bottle and this was supposed to be my luxury base to use on special occasions but I use it everyday now cause its THAT good. Well worth the price!

I have always had trouble with foundations never staying on my skin for a full 5 hours, this one stays on for that and much more!I was recommended this for my wedding by my mum who just happened to try it from a tester packet and we have both been using it ever since.It feels like you are not wearing makeup however the coverage is full. You do not need a lot however you can build it up as well!This is a 5 star product that every girl should try.Amazing and I would not change for any other foundation.

No problems with the product, but beware of the free sample offer online. If, as in my case your selection does not go into your basket you wont get them! Poor customer service means 1 star. The foundation is great.
