I have been using this foundation for 7 years as i needed a flawless appearence to last all day for my job.I couldn't live without it this foundation. It covers all imperfections yet can be applied lighter for a more natural look.In the day i mix mine with liquid bronzer for a healthy glow. In the evenings I dont mix it for more cover.try it - you'll see! should be simply called 'The Perfect Foundation'

I have been using Mximum cover foundation for the last 15 years, I have recomended it to everyone I have met who has skin problems, and everyone has gone and bought it, they were absolutely thrilled to find a foundation so lightweight and lets your skin breath along with the coverage.I am in a dilema as no where seems to have any stock left and I have none left.... Please if anyone knows of anywhere that has stock let me know..I have a faint birthmark on half of my face and nothing covers it like this... Please in desperate need.It is brilliant for swimming as it does not come off!!

Having used Maximum cover for many years I decided to try the new Double Wear Max cover. I am delighted with it! It is lighter than the normal one and easy to apply. It lasts well (all day in fact) and suits my 'older skin type better than the one I was using. Just wish there was a colour between light medium and medium - i often have to mix the two to get the right shade for me.

Another winner from EL!I am a Skin Camouflage Practitioner and absolutely LOVE this product. The old formulation was one of my all time favourites. This new formulation is proving to be just as good.I would recommend this to anyone who has any form of discolouration on the face/neck area (although could work on any area of the body). Wonderful for camouflaging light to medium birthmarks and other forms of discolouration. Also amazing for a flawless base when used as a foundation.Fabulous texture and now the new colours launched by EL make this a must for anyones make up arsenal.Like the previous reviewer said, it's a lighter (but no less effective) formulation than the old Maximum Cover lightweight Makeup and the new shades are very wearable.Might be a tad expensive on initial purchase but a little goes a VERY long way. SO worth the money!This is something that I will be using, both personally and professionally, for a very long time!

I have never had to use foundation in the past (preferring tinted moisturiser) and always hated them, as they can look so cakey and thick. But after developing Rosacea on my face, I needed to use foundation to cover it. After trying a few different brands (which I hated) I came across this from EL and I absolutely love it! It is so light and easy to apply and looks really natural. Best of all it covers my red, blotchy, uneven skin tone and makes me feels so much more confident.

I suffer from rosacea and have experimented with many foundations, searching for one that will finally give me a smooth, even, complexion.After reading the reviews on here I decided to purchase this foundation and I'm so happy I did. It's amazing! I now have an even, porcelain skin (I'm very pale so I chose Very Light).My one criticism is that after a few hours my skin looks a bit shiny, even though I always apply powder after the foundation. If you don't mind topping up your powder during the day or using a bit of blotting paper, then get this! It's absolutely worth it.

I have some scars on my arm from some cuts and after reading the blurb and reviews, I thought I'd give this foundation a try. Being a big fan of EL, I thought, "This will work wonders."Not so.It did not hide my scars at all so I do not feel it can be described as 'make-up for concealing ALL skin imperfections, including SURGICAL and acne scars....' I also tried the 'waterproof' test (standing under a shower!) because the woman behind the make-up counter said it was waterproof too.No, it is not waterproof!Perhaps my scars are a little too bad for it to handle but I have never thought of them as so. Maybe if you only have subtle scars it would work well but it is by no means a 'camouflage' for anything more than scratches or fine cuts.Big disappointment!

I can not praise this product highly enough. I bought it at the airport to cover a vein on my leg that I am self conscious about.The assistant helped me pick the right shade and it covered it completely. It stayed put all day whilst sunbathing and dipping in and out of the pool. Additionally my husband used it to cover pigmentation on his leg and he too found it great.For the first time in years I have had the confidence to wear skirts and dresses with bare legs. A truly great find!

I am reallly disappointed with this product as there aren't any shades suitable for people of Afro-Carribean origin. I have tried the darkest shade available and it is too light which is a shame considering that Estee Lauder has such a good range of products for all ethnicities. I have quite bad acne scaring on my cheeks, jawline and forehead and still get a few acne cysts (very painful, very deep, very large spots). I bought and tried this foundation for the first time yesterday and decided just to cover one side of my face at first to see the difference between this and my usual liquid foundation. The results were incredible! Not only did it completely cover every scar and blemish, it evened out my skin, looked completely natural and was (unexpectedly) very light to wear and a little goes a very long way!For the first time in a long time I actually feel confident about my skin!So, so, so, so, so happy!!!

I'm 34 and have quite a lot of brown acne scars along with sensitive skin, it gives complete coverage without looking heavy I team it with the estee Lauder peach blusher. I put my foundation on at 6 in the morning still on at 5 at night, amazing. People have even commented how clear my skin looks fact is it was always clear but was wearing other cheap foundation o now this foundation shows off my nice olive skin. I purchased this foundation as I wanted a nice full coverage foundation as I suffer from breakouts and have some marks left from old spots, which I am very conscious of.This foundation is great, I have tried many foundations but now they seem so weak and definitely needed lots of concealer afterwards. I still need to use concealer but only because I want a flawless complexion and this gets me almost there!TOP TIP is to mix this foundation with a cheaper, but still good, thinner foundation. I think this foundation alone may be too thick but mixed with another and applied with a stippling brush it is AMAZING and makes the foundation last forever and well worth the price.Another great thing about this product is I wore it swimming, as I do not like to go without make-up at the moment, and it stayed on! When I looked in the mirror afterwards expecting all my spots and scars to be showing my foundation was still at least 90% on, what a revelation.Its is so long lasting day to day and really makes me feel much more confident about my skin.

I read the reviews on this and thought i would try it.I received it today .Omg this foundation works my boyfriend was shocked and we both said 'pay the extra and you see the difference' You only need a very small amount as it goes a long way and it can make your face look a bit dry . I have very oily skin and have tried so many product with no succes. When I heard about this foundation, I thought that it must be great by reading all reviews and even just by the name of this foundation, which is actually made for oily skin type. I have been using this product for now 2 months and I have to say, Its not true at all...! This foundation looks great, but only for the first 10 mins..! It doesn't last and doesn't control oil at all. The texture is very thick and mat and really does give you a full coverage which makes you believe that your skin will stay shine-free and perfect all day, but after 10 mins, my skin becomes even more oily, heavier and greasy! Not for oily skin people..Recommend this product only for normal skin.

I have tried many foundations and lots of concealers. I tried this product about two years ago, and it's really simplified my make up routine - I now don't need to spend an age applying concealer each day, just foundation, which is so much faster and easier.I was looking for a high coverage make up to cover some acne scars and some uneven skin tone, and for me this product really works.It has excellent coverage but doesn't look 'caked on' and it doesn't clog my pores.I would recommend this if you want a high coverage product that covers a multitude of skin problems without looking like you are wearing tonnes of make up.

I have always used cheap make up and the state of my skin is probably a reflection of this! I started using EL skincare and make up about 5 weeks ago and can honestly say you really do get what you pay for. I have blotchy, uneven skin with an oily t-zone and enlarged pores! not the best look and even though my new found skin care regime is combatting this, this foundation is amazing, it covers absolutely EVERYTHING! dosnt crease, is even and lasts all day!!! I am truely sold and wouldnt use anything else, its done wonders for my confidence as its left me with a truely flawless look

I Had my make up done today in Glasgow at the Estée Lauder counter-perfect colour match (03-vanilla) and it lasted all day. I usually prefer a dewy finish, but this is very matte.... It doesn't cake, and no touch ups needed through the day..... Even chasing my 4 kids around the house! Ordered this soon as I was home earlier.... Also trialled it for covering scars and tattoos...... Shocked at how well it works! Another fab EL product.

Fantastic foundation. A heavy coverage which conceals everything. I use it when I want to look like I am heavily makeup, certainly not the natural look, however, I have to point out you need experience on applying foundation well when using this. Have seen people who slap it on and it loses the effect. Needs a lighter hand. You don't need much and it sets quick, so you have to work fast. Foundation brush is essential for me but I have seen makeup artists use it with their fingers and get a nice finish.Essential you have a hydrating moisturiser underneath.

I have been using this make up for years(before people knew about it!) and nothing beats it. I use it every day, hardly have to touch up (but if you do it doesnt cake like other foundations).It feels very light but covers spots and redness. Oil free but I have dry skin and works well.Used every day theres at least 6 months supply in the tube.Can also use for any small scars on body and as concealer.Goes on well with your fingers or use a foundation/stippling brush.I would recommend to go shade darker if you are between shades as due to the spf it can come out slightly lighter in photos, but some bronzer or blusher will counteract this.Also to put on very small amount and add more as you need to, suprising how far it goes!

I never write reviews, ever, but I always read them before I buy. As this is a pretty expensive item I wanted to share how impressed with it I was to help others make a their decision. I have very oily acne prone skin and as a result have some fairly large red scars and Some spots most of the time. This foundation covers them really, really well without being cakey. If others describe this as cakey they are probably using the wrong colour. I'm using creamy ivory and it matches my pale winter skin perfectly. Whilst it doesn't stay in place as long as the normal Double Wear it will last you a full 8 hours at the office without needing a touch up. Teamed with the Double Wear concealer this is the best camouflage foundation I have tried (and I've tried a lot, including Cover Mark). Although expensive you dont need much at all if you apply with a brush. I can't recommend it enough, well worth the money!!

It arrived this morning and I was astounded by the perfect coverage of my red face, so much so that I looked too pale and had to apply blusher for the first time in years!!! I honestly can't believe how exceptional this foundation is, I use less than half of what I would use with any other foundation and yet it gives me cover that I couldn't even dream of from other brands. A little bit certainly does go a long way and when you see how little you use and how fantastic it makes your skin look, the pricetag doesn't even matter. Other reviews i've read have said that it goes cakey but i don't find this unless you accidentally put too much on, if its blended out then it lasts virtually all day. I honestly don't know how I ever left the house without it.

pros:
This product offers fantastic coverage. I suffer from thread-veins and broken capillaries on both cheeks, and it really does address this problem. My only concern is that it does have a tendency to settle in the fine lines on my forehead, despite the fact that I am moisturising prior to application and only using a pea-sized amount of product. Will persevere, as the overall finish is very good.

I suffer from skin discoloration (melasma and some acne marks) and tried a LOT of different foundations to cover them. I received Double Wear today and can confirm it is a very good product. I was quite surprised as it seems quite light for a camouflage makeup but does cover very well. I always struggle to find the right foundation as I prefer the natural look but I hate my skin discoloration! I would advise to only use it on your blemishes to avoid a "mask effect" and also mix it with a tiny bit of moisturiser as it can make the skin looks a bit dry and fine lines more visible. It gives a fresh look and nobody could guess about my melasma or acne marks. I didn't need to use powder on top of it. It is a good make-up base and gives me lot of confidence. My boyfriend told me I looked really nice today, he didn't know but I am sure it was because of the foundation! :-) Get a good make-up remover as it takes slighly longer to remove than a normal foundation but the result is so good it does not really matter.

I have had vitiligo, a pigmentation problem which is distressing, progressive and irreversible, for 25 years. It causes the natural pigmentation of my skin to die leaving white patches on my face and body. I was initially referred to a local hospital for prescription camouflage cosmetics but they were appalling and it made me look as though I was wearing a mask. I was delighted therefore to discover Estee Lauder's maximum cover make-up many years ago and although I have also remained alert to other camouflage products over the years, this remains the most effective make-up that I have ever come across. It is lightweight whilst providing excellent coverage and lasts all day even when on holoday and in the pool. I have recommended this product and it's predecessor to many people over the years.......it changed my life!
