Look Good...Feel Better (LGFB) is one of the services in the UK helping to support women with cancer. First introduced in 1994 by the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association, it is supported by the Beauty Industry. Look Good...Feel Better offers free skincare and make-up workshops through a network of hospitals and cancer support centres nationwide.
From small beginnings in just one hospital in London, the LGFB Programme has achieved extensive recognition and support - not only from members and supporters, but also from healthcare professionals - and is now available in over 56 locations within the UK and 20 countries worldwide.
LGFB have reached over 60,000 women during the past 15 years.
Over 1400 volunteer beauticians work alongside LGFB.
The charity stage special workshops for teenage cancer patients.
Over 180,000 products are donated by the Industry each year for the patients gift bags.
Look Good...Feel Better is 'product neutral' with no company or brand being highlighted within the programme.
The charity has positive links with magazines, newspapers, store groups and, of course, the staff and management of their 40+ member companies and brands.
LGFB is fortunate to be supported by several of the major store groups including Debenhams, House of Fraser, Bentalls, John Lewis and Harrods, Boots and Selfridges.
